This movie did great big-time with its excitement surrounding all over the internet. And well, the real reason as to why most people may have gone to see the movie about a guy playing table tennis, is because of the collaborations he has done for the film and many anticipated watching Marty Supreme.
The movie Marty Supreme did exceptionally well in its opening day on Christmas which was about $9 million dollars. This amount exceeded many other movies since the marketing of this film had collaborations that were in other words, genius to younger audience members. The film itself, also releasing on Christmas day, had people wanting to go on such a special holiday.
Timothée Chalamet also did many collaborations such as doing an audition with former Youtuber and content creator Druski as they were both in Brooklyn, New York City meeting up with fans and people to showcase their talent. This led to many people having mixed reactions online and in the media. 11th grader Layan Mazarawi says,”Woah, this collaboration was insane and I know some of my friends who went to see the movie because of this!” This sparked many people to watch the video online and make their remarks as some claim,” This is the best advertisement for Marty Surpreme” , says Mazarawi. Also, many people had watched the video and saw that the guards also had giant ping pongs on their head to signify the movie.
Another collaboration was done with Esdeekid where Timothée Chalamet had recently collabed with a new underground artist from Liverpool, United Kingdom. This collaboration went mega viral on all social media platforms and raised the bar on many other movie sequels. Where others in the movie industry now have to “step up” in their game. 11th grader Sanna Smithen says,”Yea I saw the collab on my Tiktok feed and it had millions of likes!” So therefore, this sparked lots of media attention where lots of others ended up using the audio as a trend online and made lip-syncing Tiktok videos. Timothée Chalamet even went on top of the Las Vegas sphere to promote this movie which is incredibly surreal of a moment to do.
