Are you looking forward to writing unique stories? Ubound is Broad Run’s Literary magazine, and Mrs Evans is the faculty advisor for Ubound and an English teacher here at Broad Run!
What is Unbound about?
Unbound lets anyone in Broad Run submit a poem for each semester they have different genres to look forward to such as Fiction which is about any imagined or invented idea. Nonfiction can be anything about historical or information being presented. Poetry is about stories being portrayed in a lyrical way. Drama can be about any conflict or idea being presented to make writing engaging for the audience. For more inclusivity for each topic you would like to look into, or write about. Photo, story, script and many rewards are available to winners. They also have flip books to look forward to and even show art styles portrayed by others.
What is unique about Unbound?
Unbound is known to be very engaging with freestyle writing. There are also many opportunities for publishing your article as you can write about your desires so that others can read it also with a complementary illustration made by you! This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are looking forward to fun or an exciting way of joining or by getting to know more about Unbound! A way to get involved in the school and make sure that the people don’t hesitate to look for a sneak peek at Unbound.

Getting Involved
Getting into Unbound is very easy and should be considered if you are someone who enjoys writing and with the help of editing, designing and would like to share about themselves to other writers. This is a guaranteed opportunity and will get you satisfied.
Advisor and Student Response about Unbound
Mrs Evans (the faculty staff of Unbound), said “Fantastic tradition that we have at Broad Run and this year we are putting together our 55th anniversary.” She also talked about the sequence of different writing classes. “Creative writing one, two, three, and four. So students who enjoy creative writing and are looking for a sequential, elective. I hope you will consider creative writing.” She also started a writing club. “We also have a club called Spartan’s Inc, which meets after school twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays in room 201 B for about an hour and students are welcome to join”
Another person talked about their favorite ideas to write about, Abbas Alkawfi said “I would write about basketball and it would be about my favorite team.” He enjoyed talking about his favorite interests and activities he would like to write about to Unbound which can be a nice writing to submit at Unbound.
Unbound is looking forward to many new people and a long lasting writing tradition here being presented at Broad Run.
