Do you like seminar at Broad Run High School? This is not a right or wrong answer. Everyone has their own opinion. In this article, students are going to be reporting about what they think about seminar.
Sophomore Azmi Pasha remarked, “I like that we can go to clubs during seminar, but it takes time away from our break. I also have to get to class quickly. I don’t like the lessons that they give because they are really easy. They aren’t really useful, and the lessons wouldn’t help me in a job.”
Sophomore Aradhana Parthasaradhy said, “Seminar is a good time to actually learn new things like we learnt about a Mexican festival last time which was new to me. I also found it very intriguing. I like how I can learn new things that I do not know about, but sometimes, the lessons can get boring.”
When being interviewed, sophomore Katelyn Remes replied saying, “Seminar is great since it’s only one day of the week and you can use it however you want with some restrictions. I like that we are able to use seminar however we want if there are no lessons. I also get to study or finish unfinished work, and if I don’t have any work to do, I get to talk to my friends in class. Some people use seminar as club time so that’s also a huge positive. I don’t like how we aren’t able to walk around the school or meet up with friends if we have nothing to do.”
According to all the interviews that were done in this article, everyone liked and disliked at least something about seminar. In my opinion, a positive thing is that we can go to clubs during seminar. A negative about seminar is that we have to stay an extra 20 minutes in the classroom.
