Students should check themselves when they are spending large amounts of money. They should have a proper budget to ensure that students at Broad Run are ready to make good choices about money as well as earning their own money by doing chores or working a job since it’s easier and helpful for them to keep, spend and save their money.
Proper budgeting for students will help create a suitable track on their spending and saving. It can also help them set realistic goals in the future to gain control from overspending since it’s a common issue, which is a positive track towards smart spending and sharing money. Freshman Aradhana Parthasarady said, ”I see if the product is worth my money.” The importance of estimating their income of how much money they get and using expenditures, students can plan on spending less for items that aren’t important and using it on items that are needed.
When having to save your own money, it’s much easier to create that choice rather than relying on someone else to just give money since it isn’t fair on both ends also it might not be a choice to have in the future. And when students make their own amount of money by working for it, holding them accountable for their actions on spending money gives them a little bit of freedom. Sophomore Brooklyn Bunker said,”Since I’m 15, I get $15 every month.” This is a great way for students to have a proper allowance for managing their money as well as opportunities being met everywhere, so get the chance to start a part time job or an internship to raise your daily allowance and it’s best to start working at the age of 15-16.
